New Peer Trainer Role: Peer Expert Trainers Needed

New peer trainer Role!  The Lead with CPS team is looking for Central Office staff who are proven leaders passionate about lifelong learning and can help make a difference in CPS by applying to become a Peer Expert Trainer. In this paid role, you will help Lead with CPS to expand and diversify development opportunities for Central Office staff, refine your leadership skills, and help us ensure we have an outstanding and diverse workforce at all levels of the District.

Peer Expert Trainer

  1. Central Office leader with proven experience of expertise and impact in one of the following skill sets: 
    • Project Management
    • Project Planning
    • Critical Thinking
    • Strategic Planning
    • Building an Effective Team
  2. Comfortable facilitating adult learning in chosen skill set
  3. Obtain manager or chief approval to apply and an acknowledgment that this role involves spending a maximum of five work days facilitating training and participating in orientation in May of 2024. If selected, a Memorandum of Understanding will need to be signed by you and your manager or chief

Commitments

  1. Develop a training session in your field of expertise with training and support from the Talent team
  2. Complete orientation in May 2024 for two half days
  3. Facilitate 6–8 hour-long training on 2–4 days during fall 2024 and spring 2025
  4. Track modifications of sessions and facilitation based on feedback gathered from each session and from the Talent team
  5. Be an ambassador within your department to share Lead with CPS opportunities

How to Apply

  1. Complete application by February 1, 2024
  2. Participate in a panel interview and lead a short sample workshop
  3. Receive notice of your selection by the first week of March 2024
  4. You and your leader will be asked to sign a Memorandum of Understanding to participate in the program
