Content Mentors are experienced principals who have demonstrated high competency in skill areas aligned to the CPS School Leader Competencies and the daily work of CPS principals. Content Mentors deliver professional learning in small group settings and virtually. Content Mentors work in partnership with the DPQ School Leader Development team to plan, organize, and facilitate professional learning on technical aspects of CPS principal work and best practices in school leadership.
Content Mentor Principal
Eligibility-At least three years as a CPS principal
– Identified expertise
– Proficient or Distinguished ratings on principal practice evaluation for the most recent two school years
ORGANIZATIONCPS – Department of Principal Quality
DURATION1-4 sessions in a school year
TIME COMMITMENT2-5 hours of planning and facilitation per session; 1-4 sessions a year
